Help with recording from USB Turntable

Post by scrogs » Sun Dec 03, 2017 5:12 am

I'm using windows 8.1 and have audacity 2.2.0.
When I record from the turntable, the pause button on the control toolbar is jumping in and out giving very stilted results with recording and on playback. This also happen when I tried using a USB mic. Can anyone help with this issue.
Thanks
Graeme

That's weird! The pausing during playback is especially weird!

Did you select the USB turntable as your Recording Device? (WASAPI Loopback can sometimes "act like" sound activated recording, but loopback is normally only be used for recording streaming/internet audio.)

And make sure that Sound Activated Recording is turned off (but it's unlikely that it was turned-on by accident).
