No recording showing from Audacity

I have Windows 10.I have sound but no recording.I think I have the right settings MME, Microphone real tek, Stereo, Speakers Realtek High def, but no recording showing though the Audacity line is moving.I have tried different Aux Input cables on my speaker system with the same results. Please advise.I have a new Powerspec computer and am using a Altec lansing 4100 Speaker System with Subwoofer. I have also removed and replaced Audacity with no results.

I am recording music off utube. I never had problems before. Maybe I am overlooking something about Audacity.

You'll get lousy quality if you use a microphone to record from the speakers, but it should work if you have a microphone...
Use WASAPI loopback for
Recording Computer Playback on Windows.
