Need Help Recording System Sounds using Windows WASAPI

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Need Help Recording System Sounds using Windows WASAPI
I'm trying to record system sounds using Windows WASAPI but no matter what speaker device I use to record it keep popping up with this error "error opening sound device try changing the audio host recording device and the project sample rate" I've already tried a lot of tutorials to try and fix this issue but nothing seems to work please help

Maybe you can post some screen shots of your settings in windows and audacity. I usually find it is one check box somewhere causing the problem.
