Loss of sound quality when using metronome/rhythm track
When I try to record using a metronome/rhythm track, the sound quality of my guitar recording is awful. Without a metronome/rhythm track it is ok. I am using 2 tracks.

You're overdubbing, right? Eventually, you'll be playing all six instruments in a song, one on top of the other?
How did you connect your guitar to the computer? Describe how you did it. Pretend I'm holding a guitar and a fist of cables. What kind of computer?

One of the exercises you're supposed to do before you start clicking, rhythming and overdubbing is make a straight, normal, uncomplicated recording. Does that work? I bet it doesn't.the sound quality of my guitar recording is awful.
