Audacity has disappeared...

Post by badboo » Mon Jun 12, 2017 8:21 am

Hello,

I installed Audacity a few days ago and it worked successfully. However, today when I attempted to open the progam I couldn't find it. I searched the install directory and list of recently installed apps but it wasn't there. I did a search of my C Drive and it came up in the directory that I had searched but when I tried opening the program I was advised that I didn't have the correct permissions. I then searched C Drive again and this time there were no results at all.

Can anyone suggest what is going on?

Perhaps you installed it into a different user account.

If you install Audacity from the .exe (recommended), and accept the default options, Audacity should be available for all standard users (installing this way should be done from a standard user account and may require entering the admin password).
