project open in another window

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Windows 10 Audacity 2.1.3
How do I find "another window"???
the message reads: my project "is open in another window"

Alt+Tab lets you switch between your open Windows.

do you mean that it is telling me that the project is no longer in Audacity but is somewhere else in Windows??

You can't open the same project twice. Use the window for that project that is already open. The name of the project should be stated top left of the window.
