Simple way to jump to a point? [SOLVED]

Post by 1980-f » Tue Mar 28, 2017 10:49 am

This should be simple: I want to know a straightforward way to move the cursor from the start of a track to a particular time position, such as 6 mins 54 secs. How, please?

(Windows 7, Audacity 2.1.2)

Type the required time position into the Selection Toolbar "Selection Start" box. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/sele ... olbar.html

If you can't see the start of the selection after doing that, press "Ctrl + [" (hold down the Ctrl key and press the left square bracket key). This is the keyboard shortcut for:
"View menu >Go to Selection Start"

The current (recommended) version is Audacity 2.1.3. You can get it here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
