Audacity needs lame-enc.dl -another Price Waterhouse error

Hi,

I downloaded Audacity to a flash drive and then copied Audacity and installed it on to a laptop.

It installs but when I try to Export a file I’ve edited I get the error message…“Audacity needs lame-enc.dl”

I’m not sure what that means or where to find that file or how to “install” it into Audacity?

I'm running Windows 7 - 32-bit on a PC.

Download and run Lame v3.99.3 for Windows.exe. That will install the Audacity version of LAME.

While you're at it, you may want to install FFmpeg in case you need to import/export other formats that Audacity doesn't natively handle.

In my Profile it has a dot in the circle to accept email from members as well as administrators - not sure what went wrong.

Make sure you are subscribed to the topic (bottom left of the topic page).

However you should also check your e-mail client's Spam or Trash folders. Announcements from forums might be filtered there by default.
