searched around but didn't find answer.
Just updated audacity but it deleted my preferences. I did not select "reset preferences" upon install.
Found the preferences file. Is there any way to restore previous preferences?
How do you ensure it doesn't reset preferences/delete the old?
Thanks

Re: --just updated but it deleted my preferences
I suggest you only download Audacity from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows then you can be sure of what you are getting.
Audacity supplied from the above address does not change your preferences on reinstallation. But sometimes there may be a bug or a change in a feature that causes some previous preference not to work. This might happen with keyboard shortcuts, for example.
If you can be specific about what previous setting changed, and what version of Audacity you are using (all three numbers from Help > About Audacity...) then we can advise further.
