Hi Guys,
I've never had an issue before, when I export to wav file I simply hit options and choose the kbps rate. Had to rebuild my laptop recently so re-downloaded Audacity (Tried the zip / then the full installer) and all of the format options are missing? Or have it been moved?
I could really use some help as the files are unusable in the standard 128kbps format.
Audacity 2.1.2
Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit
Thanks in advance

I think you probably mean "MP3" and not "WAV".Luckyned wrote:I've never had an issue before, when I export to wav file I simply hit options and choose the kbps rate.
Select MP3 where it says "Save as type:"

Hi Guys,
Got to the bottom of it.
File needs exporting as "Other Compressed Files" with a header of "WAV Microsoft" Encoding set to ULAW.
The file exports as an AIFF and you can simply change the extension to WAV.
End result a perfect 64kbps wav
Thanks John

That's a bug in Audacity 2.1.2. It shouldn't do that. Glad you figured out how to work around it.Luckyned wrote:The file exports as an AIFF and you can simply change the extension to WAV.
