I have windows 10 and Audacity 2.1.2 and cannot record or monitor discs or tapes.
I have used the software before but now it doesn't work

If you're devices connect by USB, make sure you connect everything and only then start Audacity. Audacity checks for connections when it starts. You can also try Transport > Rescan...
