and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Auadcity and sony vegas pro 13
When i make gameplay videos and try to edit them in vegas, then also use audacity to open up the file from vegas it keeps asking me to install audacity which i currently have, so therefore i cannot edit my voice chat in auadcity, can somebody pls help me thanks.

Does it work if you open up Audacity first and then File > Import?
Did you get your Audacity 2.1.2 from here?

If nothing works, you may need to install the FFMpeg add-on software package. FFMpeg will let Audacity open up many more different types of sound files than it will by itself. Go to that above link and scroll down to the add-on software.
