Re: Activate "Export Midi" in Audacity 2.1.2
There isn't Export MIDI. MIDI is machine control, not music. MIDI has to know which instruments are playing the song and how to list them. If the music has multiple instruments you are pretty much stuck. MIDI can't split a song into individual instruments.Export Midi
There is no MIDI for vocals.
Which is the music are trying to convert?

Actually there is, but it's not "export audio as MIDI", it's "Export Note track" as MIDI. (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/file ... exportmidi)kozikowski wrote:There isn't Export MIDI
Audacity can't convert audio into MIDI, but if you have a "Note track" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/note_tracks.html) in the Audacity project then you can export it as either a .mid or .gro file.
As Audacity cannot record MIDI, the only way to get a Note track in an Audacity project, is to import a MIDI file or an Alegro (.gro) file (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/file_menu.html#midi)
