I am using audacity 2.1.2
So when i select the hard limit it gives me an error massage and point's me to the log
here is what i get in log
Code: Select all
21:56:05: Audacity 2.1.2
Log Cleared.
21:56:24: Error: Could not set current working directory (error 3: the system cannot find the path specified.)
21:56:24: Error: Failed to load shared library 'C:\Users\***\Desktop\Audacity\plug-ins\hard_limiter_1413.dll' (error 126: the specified module could not be found.)

Hard Limiter has been replaced by a new Limiter effect. See:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/limiter.html
After restarting Audacity, the old "Hard Limiter" effect should be automatically removed from the Effect menu. If it isn't let us know and we can tell you how to remove it manually.

Just to add that restarting Audacity will only get rid of the Hard Limiter menu entry if you have at least opened Effect > Add / Remove Plug-Ins... . So do that, ESC or Cancel to dismiss the Plug-In Manager dialogue, then restart.
