Just wondering about upgrading audacity version from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 what lameMp3 and FFmpeg plugin’s do you need with version 2.0.6 ,bit confused with the audacity web site help info !

and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Why are you updating?
Whereas you can stop anywhere in the update path, I believe the party line is to go all the way up to 2.1.2. The program and associated Lame and FFMpeg are available from here.

If you look at the direct link to the FFmpeg FAQ you can see that you will need to update FFmpeg to 2.2.2 if you upgrade past Audacity 2.0.5.
