Integration with Ableton Live

Post by undergroundsurface » Thu May 12, 2016 12:47 pm

Audacity doesn't have simple overwrite save functionality. For example, I've edited wav from Ableton Live and if I want to overwrite that changes, which I did in Audacity, I have to search where this file which I edited is and look for a dir. Very time consuming thing. I really don't get why Audacity can't overwrite opened file changes immediately, without searching every time?

Unfortunately Audacity can't automatically export to the directory the last imported file came from. It's a common feature request, so I can add your "vote" for that.

All Audacity does now is remember the last export directory used. So if the WAV from Ableton always comes from the same directory, or can be configured to do so, then the Audacity export will always open there.
