Can't export into multiple tracks

Post by Fishfude » Fri Mar 11, 2016 3:38 pm

I keep trying to export multiple files from Audacity using the "Export multiple..." function and choosing to split the files based on the labels I created. Yet for some reason, the files keep splitting at the beginning of a second track for a sound effect I imported, instead of where the labels begin/end. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to change this, so I just end up deleting the sound effect(s) track just to export into separate tracks. I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts.

Windows 10
Audacity 2.1.2
.exe installer

Export multiple when there are labels AND multiple tracks is not currently working properly.

To work around the issue until it is fixed:
1) Ctrl+A (select All)
2) Tracks menu > Mix and Render (mixes down the selected tracks into a single track)
3) Export Multiple, based on labels.
4) (optional) Use Ctrl+Z to undo back to separate tracks.

Let us know if that works for you.

Ah, I'm glad it wasn't me, at least. I just finished trying your workaround, and it worked great! Thank you for the quick reply! :D
