What to Do with Data Files??

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone could help me. I started recording a song and I saved the project(a .exe file) and subsequently deleted it, I guess. It's gone. I do, however, have the folder which contains the data, but I dont know what to do with it. Tons of smaller files that are associated with the session. They all look like this: e0000.ebd.au. Is there any way to import them all back into audacity as one file to recreate what I did? When I tried to they all opened one by one in individual sessions. I've just started over because I couldnt figure it out, but I'd like to know if there is a way to do this and save myself some precious time.

Thank you.

A Project is not an .exe file. This is a Project.

You double-click the AUP file and it opens Audacity and tells it what to do with all that stuff in the _DATA folder.

If you saved the show after editing and production, the chances of rescue are pretty slim. If you lost a live performance, then...maybe.

Thanks. When I double click the folder it opens and there are two sub folders within it. If I double click those it just opens and shows me this huge list of .au files. That's it. Audacity doesn't open. I also tried opening Audacity and navigating to the .au folder and it's the the same thing. It will load an individual file; not the folder.

Right. The AUP file with the same name is the supervisory set of instructions for what to do with all those little pieces.

Without the AUP file it may be impossible to put the show together.

Anything useful in that link? It is possible to put a show together without the AUP file, but it's not pretty and if you did any editing, that may be the end of the world.
