Error: Internal PortAudio error
When I try to run Adacity I get the following message "Could not find any audio devices. You will not be able to play or record audio. Error: Internal PortAudio error" I have a set of speakers hooked up and a headset mic and my webcam mic None of these are even registering for Audacity although I can record and listen on other programs and websites. I am using Windows 10. I just reinstalled Audacity today and still got the same results. Help Please.

Re: Error: Internal PortAudio error
I encounter the same error. I'm running Windows 10 on an MS-Z68 64 bit Intel core i5-2500K with Realtek High Def Audio. I understand what you are saying about Windows 10 drivers, but Audacity 2.0.1 runs fine. It is only when I upgraded to Audacity 2.1.2 that it could not find any device drivers. The recommendation has been to go back to windows 7, but an equally good solution seems to be to go back to Audacity 2.0.1 (2.0.6 doesn't work either). Maybe whatever 2.0.1 is doing could be put in 2.1.2.

The Windows 10 Wiki page is clear that you can go back to Audacity 2.0.3.NS11 wrote:I encounter the same error. We hope to be updating the PortAudio audio I/O library that we use, which has some fixes that may help. Then we can see if more needs to be done by us.NS11 wrote:Maybe whatever 2.0.1 is doing could be put in 2.1.2.
Would you like to help us test those changes when made?

Re: Error: Internal PortAudio error
It looks like the underlying problem on your system is the "Droidcam virtual audio device".mvin_8 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 6:18 amTo those who are having the same issue:

Is it sufficient to just disable all of the Droidcam entries before launching Audacity?
