Trying to record audio playing on Toshi laptop

Post by sf44 » Thu Oct 08, 2015 3:01 pm

2-year-old Toshi Satellite running Win7 home premium. Trying to record what's playing thru the speakers, but can't get any audio into Audacity.

The only input options shown by Audacity are "microphone" and "primary sound capture driver," and neither shows any db meter activity.

Computer's sound mixer shows that the audio is being played by Adobe Flash Player, but I can't seem to find any way to patch that thru to Audacity.

Thanks in advance!

For Windows 7, use the "WASAPI loopback" method described here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html

Thanks to both Steve and Koz. I'll dig into those references.
