Won't play through USB sound card [SOLVED]

Help for Audacity on Windows.

I have a Soundblaster Extigy. All other software will playback through it but not Audacity.

Check that you have it selected as the playback device in the device toolbar.

I never take my PC online, so I'm okay with XP. I also use Record Producer, which the buyer of the company refuses to update beyond XP.
