Can we make autotune more lifelike?

Is there a way to lessen the sqeakiness of man to woman autotune?

Voice conversions are difficult because not all sounds change. Yes, most of the tones go up, but some don't go up as much and some like "s" and vocal tick sounds don't change at all. That's why simple pitch changes more than a note or two sound funny.
