vocal removal
what would be the settings to remove these vocals or can it be done. here a little sample, thanks.
Re: vocal removal
I can't listen to the file or try it, 'cause I'm at work...
Start with the default settings. If the vocals are perfectly centered (and in-phase) they will be completely removed along with everything else in in the center. The default "simple" is the "strongest" effect. If that works you can try some filtering to preserve some of the bass and higher frequencies.
Or of course if the vocals you want to remove are only on the left or right, you can kill that channel.
If the vocals are not centered or if the vocal reverb isn't perfectly centered, some vocal will remain. That's normal.
"You can't un-bake a cake or un-fry an egg, and you can't un-mix a recording." Vocal removal is a novelty and it's rarely useful for "serious" audio work because important centered-instruments are removed along with the centered vocals and some vocals usually remain.
