Missing gaps/skips in audio after recording [SOLVED]
So I just started recording and the first few seconds into recording, the audio skips ahead mid sentence by a word or two. This is getting very annoying, very quickly. I'm using windows 7 and my setting are at default. What is my problem?

OK, so it's Win7. Which Audacity, all three numbers?

Nvm I discovered the problem. Increased "Project Rate Hz" to 48000. Stopped the skipping. Before I changed it, if I said "All around the mulberry bush, the monkey chased the weasel;" it would playback "All around the mulberry--monkey chased the weasel. Problem is now taken care of.
