Export button is grayed out?

Export button is grayed out?
I was putting some audio through audacity for a tutorial on how to use HLDJ (Unrelated), anyways I did the same things that the guy in the video did but when I had to export the file the export buttons (and a lot of the other ones) were grayed out... I did everything that the guy in the tutorial did but they were grayed out, any help appreciated!

Most functions require playback and recording to be "stopped" (not just "paused"). Try clicking to Stop button.
