So you have old hardware and your manufacturer has not provided fully matched drivers for the operating system you have now upgraded to.
And when you were running Windows 8.1, likewise you had upgraded to an OS not supported by your hardware.

Unfortunately we have to make the next 2.1.2 release quickly, because modern versions of Linux need the update to wxWidgets 3.0.2 that we have been working on. That update has taken most our available development time.

So we can't do anything until the release after 2.1.2 for the small minority of users who find that the driver solutions listed on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windows_10_OS don't work for them.

Have you tried disabling the NVidia display audio, assuming you don't need it?

Have you tried both the Windows Vista and Windows 7 drivers that HP provide? Have you tried the basic hdaudio.sys Microsoft drivers?

Let me pass along what just worked for me. I upgraded from Win 7 to 10 two days ago. Audio worked fine with an M-Audio Delta 2496 board including ASIO support which I verified with Reaper. Tried to use Skype, video ok but no audio with Logitech webcam. I launched Audacity which found no audio devices. I upgraded to the latest version with the same result. Device manager said everything was OK. I downloaded the latest Logitech drivers and software and installed them. Skype audio and video came alive. Launched Audacity and would you believe it found all my audio devices, the motherboard VIA audio, the M-Audio board, and the webcam mic. My theory is that in the upgrade process, some drivers and/or services were "displaced" and in my case actually inhibited operation. The earlier recommendations about updating drivers, etc., therefore, seems to be prudent. ---Gary

Thanks, Gary. There is an Audacity bug in there, we believe. If you had tried the older Audacity 2.0.3 without having the latest webcam drivers, it would very likely have recognised the motherboard audio and the M-Audio even if it did not see (or errored on) the webcam.

Please see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windows_10_OS for fully detailed help including a link to 2.0.3 if necessary.

I changed your user name because it was an advertisement for yourself.
