If you still have Audacity Portable 2.1.0, sorry but as previously explained, we do not make that and so cannot provide support for it.

I recommend updating to the new Audacity 2.1.1 supplied by us: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows.

Using 2.1.1, you will have to use the Windows WASAPI (loopback) choice in Device Toolbar to record computer playback. For details, have a look at Tutorial - Recording Computer Playback on Windows - Audacity Manual.

Obviously we assume you have the copyright holders' permission to record from the internet.

If Help > About Audacity... says "2.10" that is definitely not made by us. Whatever it says, I would uninstall that version.

Install 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows. Half way through the installation, check (tick) the "Reset Preferences" box and say yes to reset preferences when you launch 2.1.1. Then you will start with clean Audacity settings.

To run our Audacity portably, please see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/pr ... l#portable.

If you got that 2.1.0 in your picture from http://portableapps.com/apps/music_vide ... y_portable it's a modified version of Audacity. Audacity Portable is not our project so we do not know the full extent of their modifications.

If you download 2.1.1 as suggested from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows then we will be able to offer you support with that version.

Anyone can modify Audacity if they make the modified source code available under the same General Public License as ourselves.

Audacity Portable have (at least) modified Audacity to get the extra "portable" features that they offer.

Excellent :)
