It's the oldest trick in the book if you have to cater for very loud parts in your recording. Set up a 2nd channel -20 dB to the first. I'm not sure about the Sony PS3 Eye. It works with computers, but there seem to be several generations of the hardware. I'm also not sure if the four channels are available separately.
In my opinion, no camera mic can cope with this kind of sound. Unless you only want some average background music, it will overload or the voices will be faint.
It's a hard job any way you look at it.
