cutting in tracks
I have imported a file and cut out a section of the track. I'm new at this but I have followed the tutorials closely. Each time I try to cut another section of the tyrack it weill not allow me to. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Can someone help?

How are you deleting the work? Drag-select a portion and press the DEL key?

Have you pressed the yellow Stop button? Why can't I use the effects or other menu items?
Have you turned Snap To on in error? Why can't I select less than one second or click between whole seconds?
