I'm have a similar problem..how can I recover this audio?

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

As you may have seen in other topics, in case like this you need to open the AUTOSAVE file in a text editor, then remove the long line which is empty except for </project> at the end of it, and remove any other empty lines.
The last two lines of the AUTOSAVE file should then look like this:
