Hi,
I'm running Audacity 2.1.0 on Windows 7.
When I import an mp3 file into Audacity and record over it on a new track while listening to the imported mp3, the recording cuts in and out and sounds like there is feedback. When I take the mp3 file out and record only my voice on the track, the recording quality is fine.
Not sure what to do about this.
Can anyone help?

I'm using headphones plugged into the computer's headphone jack.

What are you recording? Are you recording vocals over a backing track? Are you using a USB mic? What settings do you have in the device toolbar?gertlers10 wrote: and record over it on a new track while listening to the imported mp3
