Post by tommy86r » Sun Apr 05, 2015 11:58 am

Hello, I would like record the sound from my pc with headphones plugged in, and if is possible register also my voice from the computer's microphone.
I tried to set "Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output" as output device but doesn't work.
Do you have any ideas ?

Thanks

Please see the pink box above and provide the required information.

About your setup:
Also, what sort of headphones? Are they USB headphones or do they plug into your sound card?
Is your computer a laptop computer?
Are you using the built-in sound card or an external (USB) sound card?
Are you wanting to record with the built in microphone in a laptop PC?

About what you want to do:
Are you wanting to hear a "backing track" of some sort while you record, or are you wanting to hear something else?
Are you aware that the sound quality of the built-in microphone of a laptop PC is typically very poor (approximately "telephone quality")?

That was the phrase that pays.

Audacity doesn't do well with Skype. You can record both sides of a Skype call with software designed to do that.

The Pamela series of programs can do that and there are others for Windows users. Looking.
