Help for Audacity on Windows.

This forum is for Audacity on Windows.
Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at
https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the
1.2.x and
1.3.x forums.

Can someone help me figure out why I CAN'T HEAR A THING?!
I have Audacity 2.0.5...the program has been used before by a musician friend and I've already listened to his recordings, but I am unable to hear mine??
All the settings that he used and exactly the same as mine and yet I am unable to hear a damn thing!! HELP!!

Much more information required.
Which version of Windows are you using?
What exactly are you trying to do and what equipment are you using?
