Files Not Opening

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Files Not Opening

hey, first time poster and audacity newbie. howdy.

i worked on some files w/ Audacity, and saved them 2 ways, as an au file and as a wav. i am trying to open them today w/ no success.
"Error opening file. Could not open file." i've tried dragging the icons, and tried going to File>Open> etc. i am baffled. any ideas? ty!

File > Import should open the WAV sound files.

Double click on the AUP Project Manager file associated with your show and it will go find the associated _DATA folder and open the show that way. The AUP file and the _DATA folder have to be in the same location or folder.
