Latency correction issue

Post by PastorTDS » Sun Jan 04, 2015 5:06 pm

Windows 7
audacity 2.0.6
installer

Imported audio. Plays well. Hit the record button and get flashing bar at zero. Get latency error message 'Latency Correction has caused the recorded audio to be hidden before zero. Audacity has brought it back to start at zero. You may have to use the Time Shift Tool to drag the track to the right place.' But I haven't had the chance to record anything as of yet.

Does that mean the internal mic on a Dell Latitude E5540 Laptop, a $5 computer mic plugged into its mic port, a Shure PG42 USB mic, or what exactly?

Have you tried restarting the computer?

Have you ensured Transport > Sound Activated Recording is not ticked (not checked)?
