Linking Lame to Audacity [SOLVED]

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Linking Lame to Audacity [SOLVED]
Hi I am operating on Windows 7 I have down loaded Audacity and Lame again but can not export as MP3 any advise please.Roy

You should be using the latest Audacity version (currently 2.0.6) from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows. If the problem persists after following the above, please say exactly what the error message says when you try to export and attach the log file from Help > Show Log... . If LAME is installed correctly but you are putting dots (periods) in your file name, add ".mp3" (without the quotes) after the end of the file name before you export.
