Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 765
I'm using version 2.0.5. I obtained the .exe installer. My computer locked up while recording a sermon at church. When I tried to recover the project I received the Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 765. Is there a way to recover the file and do I have a problem that will continue to happen?

Was it a USB recording device? That could mean you are connecting it to a USB hub instead of to an empty USB port on the computer, and/or your Audacity project rate is too high and/or you are short of computer resources.vickyk wrote:I'm using version 2.0.5. If you were connecting to the motherboard inputs on the computer, your audio drivers may need updating or correcting. See Updating Sound Device Drivers - Audacity Wiki .
You need to failsafe against computer failure. Run a duplicate send to a hard disk recorder, for example.
Assuming line 765 is the last line but one, you can fix it thus: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 56#p251156 .vickyk wrote:When I tried to recover the project I received the Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 765. If you prefer, please attach the AUTOSAVE file from:
- Windows 2000/XP: Documents and Settings<user name>Application DataAudacityAutoSave
- Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8: Users<user name>AppDataRoamingAudacityAutoSave
Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936 .
If you do need more help, please also state your version of Windows.
