I use "audio" during iTunes disc burning.

The "Sound Check" does not work very well, if at all in the "Audio" mode.
In my opinion you should try enabling Sound Check in Playback Preferences, even if you find it does not work well when burning a CD.

Most people think Sound Check does work well for playback.

Gale,
There has to be a way to convert the music files from the Audacity format to mp3.
Or, maybe to wmp, or another format, then to mp3 for use in iTunes.
iTunes will convert just about anything to mp3.

Thanks,

Gerry

It is not "our" link. Audacity does not condone potential violation of the MP3 encoding patents, however theoretical such violations may be.

Did you follow and complete the instructions on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... .html#lame ?

"Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows.exe" from lame.buanzo.org is 515 kb, so I suggest you delete the 1.5 MB installer you have then run an anti-virus check on your system.

Only download "Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows.exe" from the plain text link that says that. Do not click download buttons because they are advertisements that may harm your computer.

When you have the correct "Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows.exe", double-click on it to run the installer, as you would with any other installer.

See the post I have just made.

iTunes will convert just about anything to mp3.
Yes, export to WAV from Audacity then convert to MP3 in iTunes. WAV is lossless. Then if you must convert to MP3 in iTunes you will only lose quality once.
