How to get an AUP file from the _data file
So 2 AUP files lasting about an hour which were deleted by other people. Thankfully I still have the _data files for each of them. Other than piecing the audio files together is there anyway I can have Audacity automatically get the information from the _data folder?

Maybe not so thankfully.
If the shows were edited in any way, no. The work in the_DATA folders is permanently scrambled.
If they are two straight recordings, you might be able to use disaster recovery, but there's no guarantee that the left-right positioning of stereo sound will be correct.

Here is a direct link to the information for recovering an unedited recording:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... very_tools .
@Koz: Please post that link where Audacity has not crashed (and so show won't show the Automatic Crash Recovery dialogue).
