Just to give you more options, you could try Microsoft Expression Encoder Screen Capture http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=10732 then you edit the video in Windows Movie Maker and save the audio out of it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It looks like only the free version of Expression Encoder is still available: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=27870 . But I tried it and it's not bad as a screen video and audio recorder, even if it ties you into Windows Media Video with WMV or VC-1 video codecs. It has an option for WMA lossless audio.

Have you actually recorded Skype using it? Do you do it by selecting the Speakers *and* the microphone as audio source (which it allows you to do)?

Gale
I had no chances to record Skype but I believe that there shouldn't be any problem.
Click on both microphone and webcam icons to activate them then you can see yourself in a little screen even without recording so it must work.
In the settings under audio you should disable the devices you don't use otherwise you'll record annoying background noise, at least it was in my case.
I suggested that screen recorder because it's very very easy to use also it's reliable.
