Help cutting multiple tracks at once without combining
Hey guys, I'm running windows 7 and Audacity version 2.0.2 I've just started a new podcast and while editing I find myself wanting to cut something out of a few of the tracks without touching the others. I also don't want to combine them, I'd rather them stay independent of each other. Is there any way to link 2 or 3 tracks together to be edited and cut simultaneously? Thanks for your help in advance!

I know a way to do that, but it's not going to be one swipe of your terrible swift sword.
Select the tracks you want to work by clicking just above the MUTE button and holding the SHIFT key.
Then type the IN and OUT points in the START and END windows at the bottom of the work window.
DEL. If you want to simply Mute the tracks, Control-L. All the effects and tools work — just on the selected area.
