using windows 8.1 audacity 2.0.5 exe installer

My pulldown does not have any of the device settings on the mike pulldown it has= Disable Meter- Horizontal Stereo-
Vertical Stereo= Linar Db- Peferences not like the sample shown I can change the sample rate

Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Turntable, Stereo.
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Quality: 44100, 16-bit.
Try resetting your Audacity like that. The "Turntable" name is whatever your turntable looks like to Audacity. I have a device that looks like "USB Audio Codec". It could be named anything.

Make sure the computer sees the turntable. Follow all the steps at "Detecting USB and Firewire Devices" in the green box here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... l#flatline .
