Nobody listening to the music is going to see that unless you show them. Having a very "busy" room behind the microphone helps, too. Hell is an empty room with no carpets. You will never get a good recording in that room.It ain't purdy, but it does the job.
I wouldn't have thought planks of light-duty (designed for cheap shipping) packing foam would work very well, but if you're happy with it...
