Hi
I have always exported to clients using Lame MP3 16 bit or Wave 16 bit. A client is asking for a file to be exported as AIFF 24 bit, can I do this?

Audacity 2.0.3 Windows 8, PreSonus Audiobox USB

Do they know you didn't shoot it that way?

File > Export > Other Uncompressed Files > Options > Header: AIFF (Apple/SGI) > Encoding: 24 bit.

A bug has recently been discovered in Audacity's Export feature. "Shaped" dither is incorrect when exporting stereo files.
To avoid this bug, go to "Edit > Preferences > Quality" and change the "High quality conversion > Dither" setting to something other than "shaped". For general use I'd recommend setting it to "Triangle".
