Hello,
My configuration is as follows:
Tascam US-144 connected to Windows 7 PC via USB.
Running a left and right mic in via traditional 3-prong cables.
Headphones jack on Tascam running out to a simple speaker.
The current Audacity Settings are Audio Host: MME; Speakers: TASCAM US-144; Line In: TASCAM US-144; Input Channels: 2 (Stereo) Input, although I've tried just about every combination available.
The problem is this:
Both Mics appear to work when watching the gauge on the Tascam and also in Audacity; however, when I listen to recorded sound, only one Mic is heard, although both appear to be recording.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So you get two blue waves and two bouncing red sound meters like this:

How are you listening? All the settings and cables.however, when I listen to recorded sound, only one Mic is heard, although both appear to be recording.

Re: No Sound Out on Second Mic
Correct.
To listen, I have a cable running from the "Phones" jack of the Tascam US-144 directly to the back of a Bluetooth speaker (It can run in Bluetooth mode, but it tends to crash when I have lots of computer stuff going on, so I just plug it in directly).
Hey! typing the above gave me a hunch, which I tried, and the issue appears to be resolved.
Thanks!

Re: No Sound Out on Second Mic
Well, the line out to the headphones got me wondering whether the signal was getting blended or dumbed-down in the headphone jack. I think that's where kozikowski was headed. I don't know whether that's the case or even if it's possible, but I removed the headphone jack and just ran the Bluetooth speaker over the Bluetooth network (crashes be [email protected]) and both mics now work and the overall sound quality coming out of the speaker is much richer.
