That's down to the Skype recording software you use. Each voice on one side is a kind of stereo, and Audacity will only mix both sides together. Even if your mic is stereo, is the other person's mic stereo?

I recorded both voices in stereo just fine with Pamela, but, the problem is, my voice had latency. That's what I'm trying to figure out how to fix. I can record the calls with the voice changer just fine, but my voice has latency to it. Like, when I talk, it takes a second for any recorder to pick it up(only using the voice changer. If I just use my mic normally, there's not really any latency).

So, I'm wondering what it is that I need to do to reduce my audio latency so that it can handle what I'm trying to, which it already can now, but with little to no latency using the voice changer.

If I was you I would look at the Pamela and Morph settings. Are there settings to control buffers or latency? Try some other recording software. We can't see over your shoulder and I think we've helped you all you can.

How about recording the voice morph to a file and playing that file when you start the call?

Nope, there are no setting in them to help, unless I missed them. But I checked out both programs pretty well.

I've tried multiple recording softwares and they all have latency, so it must be my computer.

I can't record the file first, because I have to physically talk to the person, you know?

Just tell me how I can reduce my overall computer audio latency? If I can already do everything that I've listed, just not with good latency, then all I have to do is reduce my pc audio latency and I'm good to go, right?

So, how do I do that? Buy an external Asio soundcard? Will that do it?

Please don't tell us that we can help. This is nothing to do with Audacity and there are lots of other audio forums you can pester.

If the system latency is the problem and even ASIO4ALL doesn't help - I'm not clear why it doesn't help unless Morph doesn't use it - then that's it. Windows sound travels in and out of the kernel normally and that takes time.

Linux is faster (you can install it on a Windows partition, or in some versions just like a Windows program, then boot into it). But then you need other voice change software and other Skype recording software.

Sorry, man. I'm just trying to get some help. I keep posting here because the conversation is already established. If I post on other forums, I'll have to basically re-do everything I've already talked about here. And yeah, maybe this doesn't have to do with Audacity specifically, but does it really matter? Shouldn't people just help people? I mean, it's not like I came here to be off topic on purpose. I was originally posting about Audacity.

Morphvox doesn't support Asio4all...none of them do. I can use Asio4all in a program that supports it along with plugins, and then just use a voice changer plugin instead of a program, but then a new problem is there. I can't use asio with more than 1 program at a time.

I've decided to just skip the voice changer and record my voice normally and add effects afterwards. This is just too much trouble to do, apparently.

Yes we sometimes go an extra mile with audio problems even, if it's not about Audacity. But this seems like a timesink where it's not likely to work out on Windows with acceptable latency. It might work on Linux with JACK (steep learning curves).

FWIW, when you use a real-time morph plug-in in an ASIO-enabled audio app, how long is it taking to send the processed sound to your headphones? Are you saying Skype cannot use that ASIO output as its input?
