Record in "Slow Motion"

I wish to record a segment played at a slower speed than the original. I have the original in Audacity and can play it in slow speed. I wish to send it to CD and play it at slow speed on any player.
Can this be done in Audacity?

Try the "Change Speed" effect (Effect menu).

posting back and fessing up is useful though - at least we know that that funcionality is "discoverable"
