Inability to select small areas of the song

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Inability to select small areas of the song

Hi,

I've recorded a song on Audacity and for some reason it only lets me select parts of the song in one second bursts. As in, If I'm trying to fix something at the 12.5 second mark, I can't because it'll only allow me to select 12-13 or 12-14, or 12-15, etc. No matter how far I zoom in.

Hopefully someone here can help me out...

You've probably accidentally set Snap To to be on

Look at the check-box in the Selection Toolbar (normally at the bottom of the Audacity scrren - unless you've moved it) and un-check it
