How to Insert Audio Into Existing Track

Post by derockonroll » Tue Dec 25, 2012 3:51 pm

I haven't been able to find a tutorial for this. I want to place some audio grabs inside an existing track, in this case a song, without deleting parts of the track. How do I do this?

Many thanks for your help!

I'm using Windows XP and installed Audacity 2.0.2 from the exe file.

1) Select the audio that you want to insert
2) Edit menu > Remove Audio > Cut (Ctrl + X).
3) Click on the audio track at the point that you want to insert the audio
4) Edit > Paste (Ctrl + V)
