I am having issues with random audio effects disappearing from my 'effect' menu!!! see here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 46&t=68456
now my Truncate Silence is back, but I don't see a few of the LSDA plug-ins... but if I close Audacity and reopen it, they are back but some other effects are missing... this also occurrs with the plug-ins that come with Audacity as well as listed VSTs!!!

Which version of Audacity? (look in "Help > About Audacity")
Is this the only version of Audacity that you have installed?
Have you tried resetting the Audacity preferences? (the easiest way to do that is to re-run the installation program and select the option to reset preferences when it comes up).

Audacity 2.0.2... I also have Audacity with Paulstretch 2.0 installed...

You may be getting some strangeness due to a conflict of versions overwriting each others preferences file.
You should not need a separate version for paulstretch as it is included in Audacity 2.0.2
